Back in 2005 a small group of us started playing poker online and we thought we'd really like to get a regular, low-stakes home game going on.
Of course at first we had no idea what we were doing, then Asher did his usual thing of spending loads of time researching stuff on the internet and buying things, rather than doing work. And Tottenham Poker Tour (TPT) was born. Ed soon got involved and started writing up all our games on his website and helping Asher with the Yahoo group.
Now we have our own website and mailing list, and the original small group of friends has grown into an even bigger group of new friends (ah, it's all a big love in like Sesame Street or something). We've had 2 birthday parties now, with 60 runners competing across an entire day in some monster deepstack events.
A few babies and a few name changes later and the North London Poker Tour (NLPT) rises like a phoenix from the ashes of the TPT.
